There is quite a bit of forgotten but wonderful technology out there. To start, there are the CD and the classic audio or video cassette, along with the satisfying snap of a flip phone and the simplicity of a dedicated audio recorder. Then there’s the standalone digital camera designed strictly for photography, standard DVDs—specifically not Blu-rays—and vintage video recorders that take Hi8 tapes. And of course, the MP3 player: not necessarily just the iPod, but the entire category of portable digital music.
